Chapter Six
What did it mean on page 41, where it said, "Hugh already seemed as taut as a stretched rubber band..."?
Yeah I agree Sabryna because if a rubber band is strecthy, then it isn't tight, so when Hugh said that, he said he is DEEP down under and he can't get up!
Well taut means that he was tense or tight. So in that result it means that Hugh was already as tight as a streched rubber band.

ReplyDeleteI think this means that Hugh is very angry and if anyone like bothers him or makes him angry, he will snap, just like how Will did in "Smiles to Go".
ReplyDeleteI think it means he is tense and he can't stop thinking about what would happen if he got cought. Other than that I don't know what it means.
